So you really want to be a midwife but you don’t have A-levels, is that the end of your dream career?
Well do not worry, luckily the Health and Social Care Access Course will give you the requirements needed to get a place on a midwifery course. Not only that, but you will feel prepared to study at the level required at university, plus have the chance to arrange some relevant health care experience while you are studying.
Courses may be full time or part time and can last between 1-2 years. During the course you will study science, sociology, psychology, study skills and maths (if you do not already have a GCSE maths to C grade or above). At the end of the course you would be awarded an Access to Higher Education Diploma to level 3, which will give you the required credits to apply for a place at university.
The cost of the course varies depending on your age and individual circumstances. This course is very popular, so if you are interested you should apply early to secure your place.
